Deeper Green Consulting is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Rating Field Inspector to conduct energy inspections and performance testing for new residential construction in Summit, Grand, and Eagle counties in Colorado. This role involves close collaboration with builders, developers, and architects to verify compliance with energy codes and high-performance building programs such as ENERGY STAR, Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH), and the IECC.

The position is approximately 60–75% field-based, working on-site at client projects, with the remaining 25% dedicated to office work, including report writing, client communication, and CRM updates.

Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct HERS inspections and performance testing, including blower door and duct leakage tests
-Verify compliance with IECC building codes, ENERGY STAR, ZERH, and other high-performance building standards
-Prepare clear, detailed inspection reports with recommendations to improve building performance
-Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate and consistent results
-Collaborate with project teams to provide technical guidance and troubleshoot field issues
-Maintain accurate documentation and update project records in
Monday.com or similar CRM platforms
-Build and maintain strong working relationships with builders, architects, and code officials

Job Requirements:
-Solid understanding of building science, residential energy efficiency, and field testing
-Experience using diagnostic equipment including blower door, duct blaster, and infrared cameras
-Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and field documentation
-Certifications (Preferred or Willing to Obtain Within 3 Months):

REQUIRED:
-RESNET Rating Field Inspector (RFI) and/or
-RESNET HERS Rater Certification

OPTIONAL:
-BPI Building Analyst or Envelope Professional
-ENERGY STAR Rater Training
-DOE Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH) Verifier Training
-National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Verifier
-Familiarity with IECC/IRC codes or ICC certification is a plus
