Job Description

Thoroughly review and understand RFP documents, specifications, and design drawings.

Collaborate with the proposal team to generate and submit RFIs for proposals.

Perform electrical takeoffs using estimating software and generate electrical construction estimates, including estimate breakouts on client-provided bid forms.

Work with the Preconstruction Manager (PCM) and other stakeholders to input subcontractor pricing and general requirements costs into the project estimate.

Manage material procurement communications (quote requests) and coordinate with suppliers.

Ensure all deliverables are generated and submitted within specified deadlines in collaboration with the proposal team.

Regularly communicate with internal company SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to clarify assumptions and address questions throughout the proposal process.

Generate proposal clarifications, assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and draft proposal language.

Develop high-level project schedules using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 to support proposal packages.

Ensure the overall accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness of cost estimates.

Review received contracts post-award with the PCM to ensure scope and price accuracy relative to RFP documents and estimates.

Support major change order efforts for projects during construction.

Skills and Requirements

Commercial electrical estimate experience

Electrical Construction Knowledge

General Construction Knowledge

Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills required.

High Proficiency Level with Computer Navigation and Applications such as: Bluebeam or similar PDF editing apps, Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook

Detailed Construction Take-Off Abilities 10+ years of experience in the electrical field and 5+ in estimating null
