Summary of Job:
We have an immediate opening for the right candidate to take on the responsibility of a warehouse technician specializing in order pull/inventory/loading and offloading, and making deliveries driving a box-truck. This position requires early morning hours to work in the warehouse, make deliveries, perform stock inventory and assist with the readiness of stair systems completion for delivery.
This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed. An employee will be required to follow any other job-related duties required by management.
Qualifications:
• Able to work early hours: between 6am - 5pm
• Experience working in a warehouse a plus
• Experience staining and painting a plus
• Experience in carpentry and or construction a plus
• Must be detailed oriented and able to stock inventory
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record
• Positive attitude
• Great Work ethic
• Independent multitasker with a team player attitude
• Honesty
• Forklift certification a plus but not required
• Box truck driving experience a huge plus
• Be able to pass a background check
• The ability to lift at least 50 pounds, and carry at least 75 pounds personally, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., moving equipment, backing alarms, or other alarms, instructions/directions from supervisor and/or other warehouse technicians.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, lift, and crouch as required to perform key duties.
• Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with manager and fellow employees.
• Responsible for notifying supervisor if equipment needs to be repaired.
• Shifts may vary according to project demands but not to exceed 40 hours.
• Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the warehouse, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
• Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving forklift.
• No CDL required
