With sunny weather and breathtaking desert-mountain scenery as our daily backdrop, Sahuarita Unified School District (SUSD#30) serves approximately 6,300 students in a boundary of 606 square miles in an area located just south of Tucson, Arizona. There are four elementary schools, two K-8 schools, one middle school, two high schools, an alternative secondary school, one fully online school, and an early childhood center. Sahuarita Unified School District is seeking multiple paraprofessionals assisting Special Education teachers and special needs students from Kinder through 12th grade.

SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Support Staff Salary Schedule - Group B

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
To provide safe and aesthetically pleasing landscaping, playing fields, athletic fields, parking and walkway areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Installs and repairs irrigation systems;
-Mows and trims grass;
-Cares for all grass, trees, plants and flowers;
-Repairs and maintains grounds equipment;
-Conducts safety inspections of playground equipment, repairs as needed;
-Removes debris from drives, parking lots, sidewalks and other areas as required;
-Removes grounds trash and litter;
-Prepares athletic fields for events;
-Maintains swimming pool, including water chemistry;
-Performs minor maintenance duties as assigned;
-Performs other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
-High school diploma or equivalent, preferred;
-One year of experience preferred;
-Ability to communicate and work well with staff;
-Possession of a valid Arizona driver’s license
B. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-Ability to lift 75 lbs without assistance

D. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: Must use sound judgment in performing job.
EVALUATION PROCEDURE: In accordance with provisions specified in Governing Board policy.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Asst Director & Director of Maintenance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
