**Position** : Construction Project Manager (PQM Quality Assurance Manager 2)

Atlas Technical Consultants is looking for a self-assured, reliable, experienced **Project Manager** to represent Gwinnett County Parks (the Owner) on two major construction projects within the County. The successful candidate will work directly with and report to the Atlas Program Manager and the County’s representative to assist in managing every aspect of the projects. You should be able to work well within a team and with external vendors, contractors and County Staff and County agencies. The top candidate should have an analytical mind as well as good organizational, time management, problem solving and communication skills.
The position is located in the Atlas Office in Duluth, Georgia.
**Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Represent the owner in managing all aspects of construction projects from conceptual phase through close-out and warranty.Build strong relationships with the owner, designers, contractors, vendors, permitting and inspection authorities, and consultants to enable the satisfactory resolution of any issues and completion of the project.
+ Oversee Project Inspector assigned to the project.
+ Review and approve contractor and designer applications for payment.
+ Review and approve change order requests related to project design and construction. Reject requests that are not valid and suggest revisions if appropriate.
+ Communicate with and provide information to the Owner, as needed.
+ Work with construction manager to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
+ Track and manage the project budget and schedule. Work with the contractor and program manager to ensure that all construction activities align with the established timeline and budget.
+ Ensure delivered project meets established standards developed by Gwinnett County Parks
+ Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
+ Perform other duties as directed by the Client or Program Manager.
**Minimum requirements:**
+ Proven working experience in commercial construction project management.
+ Working knowledge of/experience with parks' management and operations staff is a plus.
+ Knowledge of construction management processes.
+ Ability to plan and see the “big picture.”
+ Competent in conflict and crisis management.
+ Leadership and human resources management skills.
+ Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
+ Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field and/or equivalent working experience of a minimum of five years.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Ebuilder a plus
**Other miscellaneous qualities:**
+ Travel to projects in Lawrenceville and Dacula, Georgia on a regular basis is required.
