We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with a background in heavy civil construction to join our team! This is an awesome opportunity to be an integral member a high functioning Project Management team. Our jobsites are located throughout the Greater Phoenix Valley so no out of town travel is expected.
Position Summary:
The Project Manager provides management direction to multiple projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with client contracts, and monitors construction and financial activities. The Project Manager is responsible for directing and mentoring on-site staff. This position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage projects from preconstruction through project closeout
Develop new and maintain current client relationships for long term success
Serve as the primary contact for clients, as well as the liaison between client representatives and field employees regarding project updates
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the provisions and requirements of all contract and other project documents
Create and manage project schedule and coordinate with internal team, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
Responsible for ensuring compliance with company safety policies and OSHA safety standards
Responsible for project conformity of project plans, specifications, details and supplemental specifications as well as quality of workmanship and efficiencies
Supervises the project activities of the on-site project engineer, field superintendent, and other field resources
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to execute project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) or Job Order Contracts (JOC)
Knowledge of CPM Project Scheduling, MS Office Suite, including MS Project
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Understanding of Bluestake
Knowledge of crew configurations and labor productions
Understanding of MAG, MCDOT, ADOT, MCAQD, ADEQ and Greater Phoenix Municipal Standards
Understanding of, and ability to use, construction software such as Hard Dollar, On-Screen Take Off, and Agtek, or similar estimating software
Knowledge of Arizona Heavy Civil market a plus
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively through all mediums to staff, management, peers, clients, business partners
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college, technical school, or university in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent experience in a similar estimating or engineering position
A minimum of 6 years of construction related project management experience with a general contractor
Previous experience with Sage CRE 300, TimberScan, Microsoft Projects or similar software preferred
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
