General Contractor/Assistant Project Manager Location: Greenwood Village, CO CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking an experienced General Contractor/Assistant Project Manager to join our team of Engineering Professionals. CLPE is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers. The General Contractor/Assistant Project Manager will assist with coordinating construction projects from initial planning to scheduling, resource allocation and project accounting, through project close out. The Assistant PM acts as a Coordinator and Liaison to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist with compiling and distributing reports on all project phases and financial performance. * Cultivate and maintain effective relations with the Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel. * Support the Project Manager with developing the budget, schedule, and construction service plans for various elements of the project. * Travel to the project site to monitor activities throughout the project lifecycle. * Attend project meetings including pre-award, pre-construction, project progress and final close-out. * Work closely with PM and Superintendent to identify and allocate resources, including personnel and materials. * Monitor progress, tracking timelines and construction activities according to schedule. * Participate in and monitor the procurement process, cost control, and change management systems. * Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of construction. * Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards. * Other duties as assigned. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Qualifications & Skills: * Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field highly preferred. Previous related work experience may substitute. * Two-four (2-4) years of experience with building construction, materials, systems, field work or similar required. * Previous experience with federal government contracting or federal construction activities is a plus. * Detail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills. * Organized, problem-solver with ability to multitask. * Proficiency with MS Office, and other Microsoft Office products. * Must have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills. Travel: * Travel between jobsites 20-30% outside CO. Other Requirements: * You must be a U.S. citizen. * You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance. * Valid driver's license required. Benefits & Compensation: * We offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k with company contribution, paid time off and paid holidays. * Salary range: $70,000-$85,000/annual based on experience, plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan. * We reserve the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range based on factors unrelated to sex.
