**POSITION SUMMARY**

Oversee the daily activities required as a Service Purchasing Agent and support the service team. Review purchasing decisions, orders, and vendor contracts. Oversee the ordering of materials and supplies from vendors.

**What you’ll do:**

1. Prepare written inquiries or obtain verbal or written quotes for materials, equipment, and subcontracts in compliance with requisitions and/or specifications.

2. Receive and evaluate vendor bids considering price, delivery, supplier’s past performance, etc., to determine successful bidder.

3. Negotiate terms and conditions and place purchase orders.

4. Negotiate and issue purchase change orders.

5. Expedite awarded purchase orders, when necessary, to insure timely delivery.

6. When required, handle third-party rental contracts and awards, renewals, and terminations.

7. Maintain a structured system by receiving orders and organizing by job number.

8. Monitor and ensure the integrity of purchasing data in WennSoft.

9. Coordinate the following:

10. a) problem invoices with vendor(s) and Accounting; b) quality requirements with Estimating, Engineering, and Service Project Team; and c) delivery requirements with vendor, as necessary.

11. Prepare all required documentation for each purchase order.

12. Manage all material returns to ensure proper credit is given to supplier.

13. Establish and maintain working contact with suppliers.

14. Meet sales and supplier representatives.

15. Assist with supplier negotiations.

16. Assist with periodic supplier performance reviews.

17. Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.

**What you’ll need to be successful:**

+ Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting and business contract laws

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills

+ Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions

+ Ability to successfully work in a team environment, when necessary

+ Knowledge of supply-chain management and the ability to perform financial analysis

+ MS Office skills and internet experience (WennSoft experience a big plus)

**What you bring to the table:**

+ Minimum 3 years of experience in industry-related purchasing
