We’re looking for an experienced Construction Estimator based out of our field office in Downstate, NY (NYC, Rockland County, Orange County). You’ll review and negotiate costs for all change orders and field orders. You’ll be a key contributor and mentor to a knowledgeable and supportive team as you prepare estimates by developing project work breakdown structures, calculating complete scope of work take-offs, and apply construction means and methods. Design teams will also collaborate with you on the quality and amount of input necessary to develop the required level of design build construction estimates. You’ll tap into both your creative and analytical sides in this role as you develop reports and presentations as well as analyze historical data.

* Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or associates degree with 2 years’ of estimating experience or 4 years’

* experience as an estimator.

* Ability to read and interpret contract documents and construction plans to prepare estimates

* Ability to control costs and apply standard Design & Controls cost review procedures and processes

* Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

* Proficient in quantitative risk analysis and industry estimating software

* OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

* Experience on medium to large size construction projects

* Able to travel to meet project needs
