Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Miami, Florida. The role involves coordinating the procurement of goods and services for our organization. The Purchasing Agent will negotiate with vendors, track purchase orders, and ensure adherence to budgetary limits for projects.


• Obtain and negotiate quotes from vendors to secure advantageous terms

• Adhere to project budgets while making purchasing decisions

• Enter and track all purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

• Follow up on all outstanding purchase orders and address any delays or issues

• Utilize Excel skills for efficient data management and reporting

• Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness

• Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with terms of contracts

• Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure all procurement tasks are performed efficiently

• Track and report key functional metrics related to purchasing and vendor performance

• Develop and implement effective negotiation strategies with vendors for cost-saving opportunities. Requirements • Proficient in creating and managing purchase orders

• Strong ability to quote prices, rates, delivery dates, and other order details

• Demonstrated experience in negotiating pricing with suppliers to achieve best possible cost

• Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts, including terms, timelines, and payment schedules

• Excellent understanding of purchasing procedures and best practices

• Experience in maintaining detailed records of purchases, pricing, and performance

• Ability to evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed

• Strong communication skills for interacting with suppliers, clients, and internal team

• Ability to anticipate potential problems and proactivity in solving them

• Proficient in relevant software applications and platforms related to purchasing and procurement

• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to perform under pressure

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
