Job Description

Performs basic functions in the Carpentry Shop for various assignments throughout the facility.

Job Responsibility

+ Provides assistance on various jobs; inspects and tests doors, hinges, and windows, as needed.

+ Inspects and tests shower stalls, as needed (i.e. new wall boards); assists with repairs to damaged partitions, ceilings, and ceiling tiles.

+ Performs construction and alteration jobs within the facility.

+ Assists with lay-outs and construction of partition walls, as per blueprints (i.e. lead-lined shelters, plywood, wonder board, peg board, hung ceilings, etc.).

+ Installs new door bucks, locks, and hangs door.

+ Assists with fabrication casework and installation (i.e. counter tops, bookshelves, desks, etc.).

+ Assists with masonry work, as required (i.e. concrete patching, form and pour slabs, form and pour pads, brick and block work).

+ Assists with fabrication and installation of temporary protection walls and partitions, as specified.

+ Assists with installation of insulation, where necessary.

Job Qualification

+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.

+ 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $38.79-$42.80/hour
