The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As a Global Supply Chain Manager, you will be part of the Supply Planning organization that provides direction to our manufacturing sites to ensure we are building the correct products at the right time to the appropriate quantities. **This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA**

**What You’ll Do**

+ Manage supply chain program management process and execution for NPD.

+ Be a key driver of short and long term departmental and inter-departmental continuous improvement projects.

+ Develops and manage long-term supply plan during ongoing production and the new product development process.

+ Engage our manufacturing, project management, and demand partners during the NPD process, ensuring that our supply plans are aligned with these stakeholders.

+ Coordinate production schedules and release and shipping windows, working closely with the cross-functional supply chain and supply quality groups.

+ Execute all supply chain requirements / objectives of NPD including lead time analysis, contingency planning and risk mitigation.

+ Ensure Supply chain material master data in the planning system is accurate

+ Develop ramp-up and ramp-down schedules as the product transfers from one site to the other or as product goes through their respective life cycles

+ Identify & manages process improvement projects that improve customer service levels, improve product flows, minimize supply chain costs and improve asset management.

+ Partner with engineering, production and global teams on continuous improvement projects and initiatives.

+ Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

+ Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

+ Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with stakeholders including employees, customers and suppliers.

+ Set goals which align to department plans and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring.

+ Provide short-term and tactical guidance to upstream manufacturing partners.

+ Maintain a safe and professional work environment.

**Education and Experience You’ll Bring**

Required

+ Bachelors Degree (± 16 years): In Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred

+ Masters Degree (± 18 years): An advanced credential, such as an MBA, MA, or MS in a relevant discipline/concentration preferred.

Minimum 8 years of:

+ Progressively more responsible work experience in manufacturing planning or a related discipline. A minimum of five plus years of demonstrated experience at a supervisory/managerial level.

+ Has multi-disciplinary knowledge with significant expertise in regulatory requirements for medical devices.

+ Experience with planning tools such as MRP modules, and an understanding of how master data parameters affect such tools.

+ Must have an understanding of applicable FDA regulations, other relevant domestic/international regulatory document submission requirements, the necessity of working within those constraints, as well as Company operating procedures, policies, processes, and tasks.

+ Extensive experience in managing project teams.

+ Must be skilled at delegation, follow-up, and team building.

+ Comprehensive analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills.

+ Documented record of delivering research information that adds value to management's decision-making process.

+ Advanced personal computer skills including spreadsheet, word processing database management, and specialized applications.

+ Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model.

+ Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

+ Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.

+ Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

+ Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

The base pay for this position is $109,300.00 – $218,500.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
