**Millwright Technician**

**Your Role at KIK**

To maintain, dismantle, and install machinery and mechanical service equipment with the ability to work with fellow employees.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

+ Able to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work-orders to perform required maintenance and service.

+ Maintains, cleans, replaces, and repairs pumps, electric motors, automatic controls, valves, piping, plumbing, mechanical assemblies, and related pump station equipment.

+ Ability to perform equipment alignment using dial indicators and or laser alignment.

+ Observes the functioning of installed equipment or systems and determines the replacement needs.

+ Orders new material required and plans working procedures to complete replacement.

+ The ability to acknowledge correct size on pumps, suction or discharge.

+ Acknowledge the difference between centrifugal pump and a positive displacement pump.

+ Knowledge of rotation of rotor feeder.

+ Informs supervisor of potentially dangerous mechanical equipment or of recurring equipment malfunctions as well as informing supervisor of corrective action taken to correct malfunctions.

+ Install and/or changes on machines and mechanical equipment in a facility.

+ Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.

+ Perform testing of equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime.

+ Works with others crafts to complete jobs.

+ Performs other duties that may be assigned by supervisor.

+ Responsible for completing all required clean -up list.

**Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specific Responsibilities**

+ Initiates near miss and incident reports.

+ Participate in all aspects of the safety program including safety meeting attendance and Computer Based Training participation.

+ Assist in updating operating and emergency procedure manuals.

+ Performing work within all safety policies and procedures.

+ The ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

**QUALIFICATION CRITERIA**

+ Good communication skills (verbal and written for documentation).

+ Able to follow instructions.

+ Interact with plant employees and co-workers.

+ This individual must be able to multi-task efficiently and work at a fast pace.

+ Must be able to exercise judgment in determining work sequence and in selecting proper material.

**QUALITY-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Understands and adheres to the site’s Safety Standards and Improvement Process.

+ Is fully aware of the position-specific quality assurance responsibilities

+ High School Diploma or G.E.D required. Completion of formal apprenticeship program or three-year training program,

**REQUIREMENTS**

+ 1 year of proven experience as a Journeyman Millwright required.

+ Ability to perform shift work with some overtime, hold-overs and call-outs required.

+ Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment and protective eyewear.

**Comments:**

+ Candidate should be mechanically inclined and have the ability to work well and communicate with others.

+ This position is exposed to hazardous environmental conditions from the chemicals being used in the manufacturing process. Also exposure to hazardous moving equipment and machinery, electrical hazards, etc.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. This position has a base salary range of $35.00. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
