We’re looking for an eager Construction Inspector Aide to join our Jacobs team in Macon, GA. In this role, you will be supporting other inspectors and engineers on assignments relating to highway and bridge inspection. Responsibilities:

+ Manual and/or electronic calculations, computations, and inspections of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract.

+ Employee will inspect truck load tickets for roadway aggregate base course; borrow material and asphaltic concrete at project field sites.

+ Employee will perform a variety of simple materials sampling, inspection and/or testing.

+ Employee will perform contract administrative duties, which may include field measurements of pay item quantities, project close-out, as well as other Department required documentation.

**Here’s what you’ll need** :

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Knowledge of surveying, highway construction or design Knowledge of engineering plans, specifications, and drawings

+ Ability to read and interpret construction plans, contract provisions, and inspection procedures

+ Valid drivers license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

+ Knowledge of surveying, highway construction, or design.

+ One (1) year transportation experience; or equivalent combination of training and directly related experience
