Typical Responsibilities & Duties: - Performs construction inspection/observation services for residential, commercial, and industrial land development projects involving site clearing, grading, - drainage, underground utilities, and pavement construction. - GA Soil Conservation Level 1B - Serves as a liaison between Engineering Staff and the contractor. - Assists Engineering Staff in administering construction contracts. - Works with Engineering Staff, Owners, AHJs, and contractors in resolving various challenges. - Prepares project-related correspondence and communication. - Inspects project sites to review conditions and ensure conformance with the plans and specifications. - Attends and participates in project site meetings. - Arrange and conduct job progress meetings. - Maintains daily reports and is thoroughly familiar with plans and specifications. - Performs fire hydrant flow tests - Performs GA Storm Water NPDES Inspections - Monitor project schedules to achieve project milestones - Aid with project bidding and construction administration phases. - Work cooperatively on project teams. - Ability to independently solve problems

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Requirements: - 2+ years experience as a Construction Inspector. - Georgia NPDES Construction Stormwater Permit ( Obtained) ,some experience required with stormwater/ soil inspections - B.S. in Civil Engineering/Construction Management (preferred) or High School Diploma and equivalent experience - Valid driver’s license - Must have the ability to obtain GSWCC Level 1B Certification for erosion and sediment control inspections within 6 months of employment. - Strong verbal and writing skills - Ability to communicate with project managers, clients, and review agencies. - Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated. Ability to multi-task and manage time and workload. - Must possess high individual moral and ethical character.
