Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Facilities Plant Maintenance with Mason Specialty Craft to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Maintenance Technician Mason, you will be responsible for performing all facets of facility maintenance installation, replacement, repairs and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment and systems. Along with utilizing your masonry specialty for special projects, you will be responsible for performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on facilities and equipment. + Diagnose malfunctions, conduct preventative maintenance, determine repair needs, and conduct repairs on building equipment, electrical components, and controls.

+ Secure loose molding and trim, perform roof repairs, and inspect roofs, floors, and walls as directed.

+ Conduct concrete demolition using power saws, sledgehammers, and jackhammers, and handle concrete debris removal.

+ Set forms, install rebar, and position reinforcing rods, ensuring proper measurements and layout before pouring concrete.

+ Mix and process concrete manually or with truck-delivered concrete, and use concrete pumps and buggies as needed.

+ Drive a company vehicle around property to job sites, as needed.


+ Must be at least 21 years old to apply.

+ High school graduate or GEDrequired,completion of apprenticeship or technical school is preferred.

+ Minimum of 5 years of verifiable professional mason experience, some additional experience in other disciplines is desired.

+ Experience with Microsoft Office and associated software.

+ Requires a valid Florida driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to obtain a NASA badge.

+ Certifications including electrical journeyman’s license, Universal Refrigeration Certification, certified public pool service technician, and EPA refrigerant technician preferred.

**Physical Requirements**

+ Requires working several feet above the ground on ladders, scaffolds, roofs, or high lift.

+ Ability to lift materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

+ Requires working in varying weather conditions, the presence of heat, dirt, dust, noise, fumes, wetness, paint, and solvents.

+ Ability to utilize variety of tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, plumbing tools, generators, forklifts, and man lifts.
