Project Manager

This is what you'll do
• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
• Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements
• Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day to day contact on project status and changes
• Plan and oversee all engineering, installation, programming, commissioning, and subcontracting activities on all assigned projects
• Drive installation efficiency and ensure maximum job profitability
• Motivate internal resources to ensure we are delivering against our monthly goal for “clean installation” hours
• Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
• Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed – escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
• Routinely walk job site to ensure quality installation of projects
• Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements
• Study literature and attends in house trainings to stay current with regards to products, processes and materials.
• Other duties as identified or assigned.

This is What You’ll Need
• Two-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of construction fundamentals
• Strong financial management skills and the ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish
• Must have excellent written & oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills, specifically how to distil issues, manage client expectations, act as a trusteed advisor and communicate in a timely manner under pressure
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications and contracts, including writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure documents.
• Strong technical aptitude: ability to quickly learn new technologies, software programs and procedures.
• PMI-PMP certification desired, but not required
• InfoComm CTS certification desired, but not required
• Site work job conditions are like typical construction projects. Hard hats, safety vests and glasses and steel toed boots may be required on specific job sites.
