ABOUT SOMEBURROS

Family-owned and -operated since 1986, our fast-casual Mexican restaurant with multiple locations in Arizona uses family recipes. Every dish on the menu tells the unique story of the Vasquez family and their first restaurant, "Poncho's," which opened in South Phoenix in 1972, showcasing the family's signature, time-tested recipes for authentic Sonoran-style Mexican Food. Slow-cooked meats, delicate sauces, fresh chili peppers, seasonal vegetables, and homemade salsas wrapped in warm handmade tortillas proved a hit from the very beginning. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE MARKETING INTERN

The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Sales & Marketing Director in implementing the Someburros marketing plan- focusing on digital content creation and communication, fundraising and sales efforts and to build awareness about Someburros within the community.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to take initiative, employ good judgement, and manage projects from beginning to end.
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading skills and ability to manage details.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently and as a team.
Be available at least 20 hours a week.

JOB DUTIES

Work with Marketing Director to enhance social media strategy and best practices.
Assist in managing social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok).
Keep up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly, as well as weekly content creation.
Assist in Brand Ambassador program, engaging community members and surrounding businesses with Someburros branding.
Assist Catering Director in executing fundraisers at all Someburros locations including communication with both general managers and fundraiser point of contacts.
Create monthly community calendars based on restaurant location and nearby events to display on chalkboard calendars at all 12 locations.
Assist in organizing and executing Golden Burros event, annual employee appreciation banquet.
