Position Summary
Plumber is responsible for installation, repairs, replacement and preventative maintenance of plumbing and piping systems.

Essential Functions
Carry out regular maintenance of all plumbing systems at Urban Communities Properties
Perform installation of plumbing systems at older properties
Inspect previously installed plumbing systems at Urban Communities sites
Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems
Answer calls for plumbing issues from Foreman, Project and Construction Manager
Keep up to date with current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems the company installs and maintains
Provide information regarding plumbing system upkeep
Follow all current regulations for plumbing work to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections


Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Three or more years of trade experience as a plumber or plumbers apprentice
Experience managing projects
Proven in-depth knowledge of related building codes, regulations and ordinances
Proven ability to effectively read, interpret and work from plans and drawings
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Have a positive work attitude and disposition.
Detail oriented, organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving and critical thinking

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use both hands and feet. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the help of others. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities must be sufficient to detect alarms, moving equipment, verbal instructions, and conversations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather and job site conditions, which may include air borne particles, vibration, fumes and high places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
