HEP is seeking experienced plumbers, HVAC technicians and Office staff. HEP is a well-respected, locally owned and rapidly growing maintenance company looking to fill these positions immediately. 1. Interview Stage Preparation: Develop a structured interview format with key questions related to the role. Conduct Interviews: Use a panel if possible for diverse perspectives. Take notes and assess candidates against criteria. 2. Post-Interview Evaluation Debrief: Gather feedback from all interviewers to discuss strengths and weaknesses of each candidate. Select Candidates: Decide which candidates will move forward based on evaluation. 3. Background Check Consent: Obtain written consent from the candidate to conduct a background check. Conduct Checks: Verify employment history, education, and any criminal records as applicable. Make sure to follow local laws and regulations. Review Results: Assess the findings and determine if they align with your hiring criteria. 4. Drug Screening Policy Communication: Inform candidates of your drug screening policy during the interview or offer stage. Schedule Testing: Arrange for the drug screening at a certified facility. Ensure candidates know what to expect. Review Results: Evaluate the results in accordance with your company policy and local laws. 5. Offer and Acceptance Job Offer: Once background and drug screen results are satisfactory, extend a formal job offer outlining salary, benefits, and start date. Acceptance: Allow time for the candidate to review and accept the offer. 6. Orientation Prepare Orientation Materials: Create a comprehensive orientation program covering company policies, culture, and role-specific training. Schedule Orientation: Set a date for the new hire to begin orientation, ensuring they have all necessary resources. 7. Onboarding Integrate into the Team: Facilitate introductions and provide a mentor or buddy to help the new hire acclimate. Follow-Up: Check in with the new hire after a few weeks to address any questions and ensure a smooth transition.
