Industrial Plant Electrician - Plant City, FL

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Plant Electrician to join our growing team in Plant City, FL. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our facility operates smoothly and efficiently by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our electrical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:

+ Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical systems, including control panels, motors, transformers, and lighting.

+ Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, diagnose issues, and implement effective repairs.

+ Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment.

+ Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

+ Work collaboratively with other technicians and maintenance personnel to diagnose and resolve electrical problems.

+ Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.

+ Maintain accurate records of all work performed.

Qualifications:

+ Minimum 5 years of experience working as an electrician in an industrial setting.

+ Minimum 3 years of experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

+ strong understanding of electrical principles and theories.

+ Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems independently.

+ Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

The plant electrician provides technical expertise in a supportive role to all areas of our operation. This

position reports directly to the Maintenance/Technical Manager and VP of Operations.

This position is currently on a 12 hour rotating schedule, with weekends and overtime possible during peak

season and heavy demands. Typical week = four days on and four days off.

The essential functions of this role include:

+ working in a smoke free environment

+ wearing steel toe shoes

+ working in a non-temperature controlled environment

+ manual lifting up to 50lbs

+ standing for 12 hours at one time

+ working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week

+ working weekends

Skills

+ electrical/electronics (3 years of experience is required)

+ P.L.C.,

+ electrical schematics.
