Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to oversee our procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships with suppliers. This role is pivotal in maintaining inventory levels, managing supplier contracts, and optimizing purchasing strategies to support our company's growth and success.

Responsibilities:

+ Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed

+ Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable pricing and payment conditions

+ Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure timely replenishment of stock

+ Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and priorities

+ Review purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in a timely manner

+ Track and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

+ Resolve supplier issues and disputes promptly to minimize disruptions to operations

+ Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements affecting procurement practices

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field

+ Proven experience as a purchasing agent, procurement specialist, or similar role

+ Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software/systems

+ Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

+ Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and relevant regulations
